FAQs | Zerava Vehicle Care

Question 1

What is Zerava?

Accepted Answer

Zerava is a premium mobile vehicle care service that comes to your location and professionally cleans your vehicle using advanced waterless, biodegradable cleaning solutions. Our service is designed to provide convenient, eco-responsible vehicle care without the need for traditional water-based washing.

Question 2

How does waterless car cleaning work?

Accepted Answer

Our waterless cleaning technology uses advanced biodegradable formulas that encapsulate dirt particles and lift them safely away from your vehicle’s surface. The solution lubricates the paint while cleaning, reducing the need for traditional hose-based washing. Our trained technicians use premium microfibre towels to gently remove dirt and enhance your vehicle’s finish.

Question 3

Is waterless cleaning safe for my car’s paint?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our waterless cleaning formula is pH-balanced and designed to be safe for modern automotive paint finishes, including ceramic coatings, wraps, and paint protection film (PPF). The solution lubricates the surface while cleaning to help reduce friction as dirt is removed. Our technicians use professional-grade microfibre towels and proper techniques to ensure a safe cleaning process.

Question 4

Can you clean heavily soiled vehicles?

Accepted Answer

While our waterless method is effective for regular dirt, dust, and light mud, vehicles with excessive mud or heavy contamination may require a pre-rinse or alternative cleaning approach. For most urban driving conditions, our waterless car cleaning technology works very effectively. If your vehicle requires additional attention, our team will assess the condition and advise the best solution.

Question 5

How much water does this actually save?

Accepted Answer

Traditional car washes typically use 150–300 litres of water per vehicle. Waterless car cleaning significantly reduces water consumption compared to conventional washing methods. Over time, regular waterless cleaning can help save thousands of litres of water while maintaining a professionally cleaned vehicle.

Question 6

What happens to the dirty water runoff?

Accepted Answer

Because waterless car cleaning does not rely on hose-based washing, there is no dirty water runoff entering storm drains or waterways. Our biodegradable cleaning solutions break down naturally, and our professional microfibre towels are cleaned and reused following responsible practices.

Question 7

How do I book a service?

Accepted Answer

Booking is simple. Visit our booking page, select your service type and vehicle size, enter your postcode to check availability, choose your preferred date and time, and provide your contact details. You’ll receive instant booking confirmation by email after payment with all the details.

Question 8

What areas do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We currently serve Southampton and surrounding areas, including SO14–SO19, with expansion planned. We operate zone-based scheduling with specific service days for different areas to improve efficiency and reduce travel emissions. Enter your postcode on the booking page to check availability in your area.

Question 9

How far in advance should I book?

Accepted Answer

We recommend booking 1–3 days in advance to secure your preferred time slot, especially during busy periods. However, same-week and next-day appointments may still be available. Check our live booking calendar to see real-time availability in your area.

Question 10

Can I reschedule or cancel my booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can reschedule or cancel your booking up to 24 hours before your appointment at no charge through your account dashboard. Simply log in and manage your booking using your booking reference. Changes or cancellations made within 24 hours may incur a fee. For full details regarding cancellations and applicable fees, please refer to our Terms & Conditions.

Question 11

Do I need to be present during the service?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily. As long as we have access to your vehicle and any necessary instructions (such as parking details or access codes), you do not need to be present during the service. Many customers book while at work or at home. We’ll notify you when we arrive and once the service is completed.

Question 12

What if it rains on my booking day?

Accepted Answer

Our services can usually operate in light rain, as our waterless cleaning process works effectively in damp conditions. However, in cases of heavy rain or severe weather, we may need to reschedule to ensure safe working conditions and the best cleaning results. If weather affects your booking, we will contact you in advance.

Question 13

How much does your service cost?

Accepted Answer

Pricing varies depending on the service type and vehicle size. Zerava Care services start from £35–£75. All services include our premium waterless cleaning process, professional-grade products, and convenient mobile doorstep service.

Question 18

Are your products really eco-friendly?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our cleaning products are 99.78% readily biodegradable, non-toxic, and free from harsh chemicals. They are designed to break down naturally and help minimise environmental impact while remaining safe for modern vehicle surfaces.

Question 19

What does “biodegradable” actually mean?

Accepted Answer

Biodegradable means a product breaks down naturally through biological processes into simpler, non-toxic components. Our formulation is made up of 99.78% readily biodegradable ingredients designed to degrade naturally and reduce environmental impact.

Question 20

How do you minimize your carbon footprint?

Accepted Answer

We reduce travel emissions through zone-based scheduling and route planning. Our operations are primarily carried out using electric bikes, helping minimise transport-related emissions. Our waterless cleaning method also reduces the energy associated with traditional water-based washing and treatment.

Question 21

What do you do with waste materials?

Accepted Answer

We aim to minimise waste wherever possible. Microfibre cloths are laundered and reused many times before replacement. When they reach the end of their usable life, they may be recycled through textile recycling programs. Product containers are recycled where facilities exist, and we work to reduce single-use plastics in our operations.

Question 22

Can waterless cleaning be better than traditional washing?

Accepted Answer

In many ways, yes. Beyond saving water, waterless cleaning does not require energy-intensive water treatment facilities, does not create chemical runoff into waterways, and reduces the carbon emissions associated with traditional car wash infrastructure. Our formula also leaves a protective layer that helps keep your car cleaner longer and creates a water-repellent effect.

Question 23

How long does each service take?

Accepted Answer

Most services take approximately 40–90 minutes, depending on the service selected, vehicle size, and condition. We focus on delivering efficient service without compromising quality.

Question 24

What if I’m not satisfied with the results?

Accepted Answer

Your satisfaction is important to us. If you’re not happy with the service, please let us know as soon as possible and we’ll review the issue and work to resolve it where appropriate. Our goal is to ensure every customer receives a high-quality service.

Question 25

Are your technicians insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Zerava operates with public liability insurance and trained technicians to ensure safe and responsible vehicle care during every service.

Question 26

Do you offer add-on services?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Add-ons can be selected during booking or requested on the day of service, subject to availability.
